Essex Shipbuilding Museum

Our thanks to the Friends Of Cutler for funding this trip. The children enjoyed visiting the museum with their 4th grade buddies. The children rotated through 5 different stations that included a visit to the steam shed, simple machines, model boat making and a lesson on boat building. After, we picnicked in the boatyard.

Tide pooling At Pavilion Beach

What a perfect morning! The children had a delightful time exploring the tide pools.  It was so exciting to see the animals and plants we had been studying. The classroom tank is up and running. The tank is everyone's favorite spot in the classroom.

We will not bring snacks to the beach and there are no restroom facilities. Also, please send in a change of clothes and sneakers for the afternoon. Your child is welcome to bring a net and bucket. Family Fun Night

Measuring with inches, feet and yards!

All hands were busy as we used standard measurement tools to find the length, height and width of objects in the classroom and on the playground.  This week, we will use a centimeter ruler and a meter stick.
