Settling In-Building Relationships and Rembering Routines

Despite the heat, we have settled in and are enjoying our time together.  We are excited for you to see the classroom on September 21st at the ice breaker.  On Friday, we played a great game, Do You Want To Buy A Duck?, that had us all giggling and laughing.  Our 1st read aloud novel is The World According To Humphrey (thank you Jonathan for the suggestion). The children are enjoying this story of a pet hamster told through the hamster's point of view. Our bookmaking sessions have started and we are studying the work of Peter Brown. In math, we have been working on number bonds for 20 and some journal prompts. Looking forward to cooler weather this week!
